  2. Well, when I took the test it said I might want to have a career in experimental psychology. Just the title of this branch intrigues me. I love the whole idea of going into people's minds to find out what makes them tick i.e. through "experiment". There were several types of careers listed but I think the one I am most interested in is cognitive psychology. When we looked over the power point in class this is one branch that I thought was very interesting. Languages and memory play an important role in this branch and it always amazes me how we can pick up on languages from such a young age, and the whole idea of memory and how the brain chooses to remember some things and not others.

I think this seems like a good choice for me, since there are a few opitons to choose from. Like, Industrial Organizational Psychologist or Forensic, but that's sounds like it could be sad sometimes. Also, Sports psychologist, but that doesn't really fit me.

  11. I thought this quiz was kind of interesting. I got a career in experimental phsycology, that includes jobs such as being a developmental psycologist, cognitive psycologist, and a social psycologit. Out of those three, I think I prefer being a cognitive psycologit (they conduct applied research or basic research on the human thought process) or a developmental psycologist (they explore theoretical issues related to human development). I like them specially beause you have to research :)

  36. My quiz results said that I should be in applied psycology. The careers in that category are:

    Industrial Organizational Psychologist
    Forensic Psychologist
    and...
    Sports Psychologist.

I could handle being an I-O psycologist because they hire qualified employees, conduct tests, design products, create training courses, and perform research on different aspects of the workplace.

I think I would make a good as a sports psycologist. They do a lot with...you guessed it...SPORTS. They give athletes motivation and enhance performance. Others do a variety of things that include sports education.

I love children and to do something that would make their lives a little better would be AMAZING. I can't think of anything better than a smiling child. :)

  38. Based on my quiz results I will more likely become an Industrial Organizational or a Sports Psychologist. I think both of these could fit me. But a Sports Psychologist would fit me more because I actually like sports better than sitting and conducting tests all day.

  39. The test stated that I should be an Experimental Psychologist, more specifically it said I should either be a Social,Developmental,or Cognitive Psychologist. While the first to are not very appealing to me the later is very appealing. I Believe I would enjoy working in a university as a psychologist. I however would not enjoy the amount of schooling it would require to earn a doctorate in psychology. I enjoy school but I feel that it would be impractical to amass a huge amount of debt to receive a high paying job, that would STILL take a year or two to pay off my debt.

Yeah, under that it gave me a list of different, more specific careers. I only remember the Clinical one, because that's the only one I think I would actually look in to.

Wait, no, I remember one was a social worker. I highly doubt I would do that.

My result for the test was Industrial psychologist. Its okay but its not really what I was wanting. I think I should have answered the math question differently. Anyway, industrial psychologist can deal with 7 different areas, one dealing with worker productivity. I think I would like being clinical psychologist!

Also, there is such a variety of disabilities and disorders clinical psychologist study and work with. That honestly may be too much responsibility for me. My second choice was a school psychologist, which is more of what i would enjoy. I would much more perfer working with just children.

I agree with the results because when i have to get a job it's basically going to pay very well and I won't have to do a lot. Yes, I'm lazy and have expensive taste. I would probably ENJOY experimental psychology the most but as a career I would most likely choose I-O psychology :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. lol i got the same as last time, but i never saw the other two so, this is what i got

    Industrial Organizational Psychologist

    Forensic Psychologist

    Sports Psychologist

i agree with all three its cool, i want to be a teacher and i would have to deal with people in the industrial, and my parents say i should be a lawyer because i dont say no easy lol, and i love sports so i like my results.

  58. The results of my quiz said I should be a Counselor. I wouldn't mind being a school counselor and working with kids. I would not like to work as a marriage and family counselor because they are much bigger problems.

    ReplyDelete
  59. My quiz results said that a career in applied psychology would be best for me. I suppose I agree with this, if I were looking for a career in psychology this would probably be the path that I would most enjoy. But, although I enjoy psychology, I would not pursue a career in it

  60. It said I should be a Theraputic Psychologist.

and under the list of professions and such, there was social worker, and I would definitely pick that one.

I love working with kids, and if I can help them and get them out of terrible home lives, I can go to sleep at night.

the only bad thing would be that its ALOT of work, and not alot of benefit. its a really hard job and seeing kids come from such sucky backgrounds would really depress me. which takes alot out of the upside.

    ReplyDelete
  61. it said that i should be a theraputic psychologist
i would probly pick social worker and or school psychologist because i love working with little kids and i like lessing to there problems. i think it would be verry help full because i know what it feels like to not have someoneto lisson to me and i dont like to see little kids SAD!!!!

  65. I got Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologist. Basicaly i think you just figure out wat would make a work place function to its highest potential and choose the ppl who work and all that. I think i would like this bc it sounds easy and pays pretty good.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I took the quiz and it said I should consider a career in applied psychology. Basically they're very theoretical. They like asking the "what if" questions that I'm rather famous for. A few jobs that go along with this are: Forensic Psychologist, Industrial Organizational Psychologist, and Sport Psychologist. If I HAD to choose one of those, I'd pick the forensic psychologist, but to be honest, I can't see myself in that kind of job. I ask a lot of "what if" questions, yes, but I prefer not being freaked out by gory dirty nasty things. I kinda like my sanity..what little bit I DO have.

    ReplyDelete
  67. i got Industrial-organizational psychologist which work in government offices, business settings or private offices. im not positive this would really be the one for me. Though, out of the 3 options i think it would be the best fit. this or the forensic psychology, which does interest me a little more since it has to do with law. i find that the most intersting of all. for my ideal job in psychology [which is what im going for] id like to design experiments like the ones we use to get our statistics and work with people who volenteer to pertistipate. im not against working with pacients one on one i enjoy the psychology and figuring out the problem and how maybe to help them. but i have a few experiments already in mind i would like to know the persentage of the results. =]
